Fort Mose Historical Society (FMHS) will use personal information that you voluntarily submit through email or by completing membership or registration forms, etc. to respond to process your request.From time to time, FMHS may also use your personally identifiable information to: transmit announcements; inform you of our activities or events, programs, products or services; communicate membership and development opportunities; or for surveys and other general communication. When we send you information by bulk email, you will always have an immediate opportunity to decline further communication. Please use the contact specified in the email so that we can remove you from the list that contains your name.

Payment Information
FMHS does not store or process payment information locally. FMHS uses outside vendors to provide certain services, such as companies that process credit card transactions for membership and donations. These third-party vendors will have access to the information needed to perform their functions, but may not use your information for any other purpose. Transaction information is securely transmitted to and stored by Stripe.com, our payment gateway.

Buyer data stored locally on FortMose.org includes only:

  • Stripe Customer Number (cus_xxxxx...)
  • Stripe Subscription Number (sub_xxxxx...)
  • Transaction charge number (ch_xxxxx...)
  • Last 4 digits and expiration date of user's Credit Card, used for Expiring Card Reminder Emails.

Buyer data transmitted securely to stripe.com includes only:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Address
  • Full Credit Card Info - Number, CVC, Expiration Date
  • IP address

Security
FMHS takes reasonable steps to manage our website technology to ensure that its information technology systems, applications, and information technology infrastructure are secure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this site cannot be guaranteed.
