We invite you to join the
Fort Mose family!

Working together, we’ll share the remarkable Fort Mose story with the world.

Fort Mose is:

  • Site of the first legally sanctioned free Black community in what's was to become the United States.
  • Destination of the original Underground Railroad, running south. Fort Mose Historical Society serves as a Citizen Support Organization (CSO) for Fort Mose Historic State Park. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

Thank you, and welcome!
